So, GarageBand has all of this cool stuff for you to use - apart from just loops - how can you access it?, and more importantly, how can you use it?
Who is this workshop for?
We’ve been using GarageBand since January 2004, its accessible and easy to use - allowing everyone to create music regardless of their musical ability or experience. GarageBand level 2 is aimed at NON musicians who want to take the next step and produce stunning music, that doesn’t sound like a collection of loops.
What you will learn
• how to create music in different styles
• how to use keys to evoke atmosphere in your music
• how to create chord sequences with no music theory or notation skills
• how to create convincing instrumental parts, eg piano, bass, drums, guitar etc with no fiddly piano roll editing
• how to use the effects.... more effectively
• how to create music with structure
What experience do I need to attend the workshop?
Apart from having an interest in making music you need NO previous music training or experience, BUT you should know your way around GarageBand to take full advantage of the content this workshop offers.
