Music for Film with GarageBand
Composing music for film for non music specialists. Is that possible? With GarageBand it is! GarageBand allows you to focus on the skills required for composing to film because it removes the technical know how usually required when using music software.
Who is this workshop for?
We’ve been using GarageBand since January 2004, its accessible and easy to use - allowing everyone to create music regardless of their musical ability or experience. GarageBand goes to the movies is aimed at NON musicians who want to take the next step and produce stunning film music, that doesn’t sound just like a collection of loops.
As part of this course a number of industry quick time movies are supplied that have been cleared for educational use - you will be able to take copies of these away with you for use in your own institution.

What experience do I need to attend the workshop?
Apart from having an interest in composing music for film you need NO previous music training or experience, or experience with GarageBand. Some experience of working with macs is an advantage but not essential.
